I've just recently installed PMS on my Debian NAS box. It has a 10x3TB array that goes to standby (spin down) to save power after 1 hour of no activity.
After installing PMS, I noticed the drives will no longer enter standby mode - I can manually spin them down with hdparm and they seem to stay there as long as PMS isn't accessed, but on its own the array will no longer spin down. I have turned off all library auto-scan/auto-update feature and not sure why it's still refusing to go to standby.
