I am running PMS 0.9.16.6 on Ubuntu, and I've recently noticed I cannot stream large 1080p MKV files (>15GB) to iOS, Web or Chromecast. Additionally I cannot create optimized version of those files either. I am able to stream to my Roku 3 using Direct Play at a lower bitrate.
I can understand if my system isn't able to transcode fast enough (Intel NUC i3 1.8GHZ, 16GB RAM), but I'm not sure why the conversions would fail as well.
