Problem: Roku 3 error crashes PMS repeatedly, using latest Roku 3 software and PMS server on Centos.
What I did: I selected a tv show on Roku 3, and accidently hit OK, which started the loading of the tv show. I stopped the loading of the show and then selected the episode I wanted. This action caused my PMS to go offline.
I logged on to the Centos box and saw PMS process was no longer running. I started PMS and the server appeared in Roku like normal. I tried to watch the spisode again and PMS crashed right when the loading bar appeared. I performed this 2 more times before deciding to troubleshoot.
When I restarted PMS for the 4th time, I tried watching the show with my phone and computer web browser and it worked. I tried Roku for the 5th time and PMS crashed on the exact same show. This told me the server was fine, but my Roku was pooched. I restarted PMS again.
I decided to unplug the power from the Roku 3, plugged it back in, and everything has been working perfectly ever since.
My concern is that even though the issue was with the Roku 3, the Roku 3 error caused the entire server to crash. Is this something worth investigating?
