I'm running Plex within a Debian instance, based on the Ninthgate debian repository, I have a lifetime plex pass and am logged in on that partiucular box. Upon hearing ths HD Homerun/DVR announcement I've bought a HD Homerun connect.
It arrived today and I plugged in the Homerun, It seems to have automatically found all my TV channels and using VLC I am able to network stream a number of them (Dave, BBC One HD, etc..)
However I can't find anything in the Plex web application that allows me to link the HD HomeRun to the Plex instance. Reading the various promo's documentation I get the impression there should be a new menu called 'DVR', I don't seem to have such an option.
If I go to my plex server (http://:32400/web/index.html#) and choose Settings ->Server I can see I am running Version 1.1.4.2757 and have set the update channel to 'PlexPass'. I've gone under advanced options and looked under every option in the sidebar. My options are:
- General
- Remote Access
- Optimized Versions
- Agents
- Library
- Channels
- Network Transcoder
- Languages
- DLNA
- Scheduled Tasks
- Extras
- Help
Looking at some of the DVR promo material I get the impression the HomeRun should appear as a Server under the Settings -> Server tab, but nothing has appeared. I installed plexmediaserver on anouther box in my home network and disabled remote access on that instance to test the discovery was working correctly. Going to the original instance I can see both plex instances but no dvr or HD Home Run
