Been searching and finding results that sort of touch on my issue, but not exactly. I'm currently running PMS on a Windows machine with the media on a separate unRAID box, which anyone on the network can access. Currently my wife and I run OS X machines and put new media into the unRAID share via the network and then PMS updates accordingly. No issue. I hate Windows and want to go back to an Ubuntu server but I've heard horror stories about unRAID shares not mounting/sharing on Ubuntu/PMS. So, can I just install Ubuntu without altering my unRAID box and things should, more or less, be fine?
TL;DR Want to install Ubuntu over Windows for my PMS but not sure unRAID shares will mount properly AND be accessible to others on the network, as it is today.
