I recently reinstalled plex media server after having some issues with it. Now, I am unable to claim the server. based on information I found on this and other forums, I tried going to plex.tv and logging out of all devices listed. I also tried reinstalling plex, redownloading the deb file to make sure I had the right one, using apt-get purge instead of apt-get remove. I noticed that even after apt-get purge the libraries and channels were still set up. I then tried uninstalling, running rm -r /var/lib/plexmediaserver
, and reinstalling. No effect (other than losing the channels and libraries[the actual video files were unharmed])
I also noticed that the setting page said there was an update available, but as I mentioned, I had redownloaded plex several times to make sure it was the most recent version.
How can I proceed with the troubleshooting from here?
