Multithreaded transcoding

Hi,

I'm bulding Plex server and have to decide what CPU I have to buy. I use transcoding a lot, so:

• will plex use more then 12 threads?
• does it make sense to buy dual-cpu motherboard (I would get e.g. 32 threads)
